This Kai Shun knife set consists of three Kai Shun Classic knives. The Kai Shun Classic knives are provided with a 32-layer stainless steel damask blade. Damask steel is comprised of a number of layers of steel that are forged on top of each other. This makes this type of steel very pure and hard. The VG-MAX core ensures that the knife is amazing to use. The hardness of these blades is 61 ±1 HRC, which is exceptionally hard. As such the knives retain their sharpness for a really long time. The handles are made of laminated pakka wood and have an asymmetrical shape. Because the set consists of a chef’s knife, utility knife and peeling knife, you have everything you need to start a new culinary experience. To make this experience even more complete there is also a set that includes a cutting board. Because of its look and feel and ultimate cutting properties this knife is an absolute joy to behold and amazing to use.
