Skerper Arkansas Deluxe Honing Kit NAHK03, Soft Arkansas

The Skerper Arkansas Deluxe Honing Kit is a complete sharpening set including 3 medium sized stones, honing oil, and a wooden storage box. The 3 stones come in varying grits: Soft Arkansas, Hard Arkansas and Hard Black Arkansas. The Soft Arkansas at 400-600 grit is the perfect stone to start the sharpening process where you need to set the initial bevel, and/or remove chips and rolls from the edge. The next stone is the Hard Arkansas at 800-1000 grit. This stone provides the initial polish to the blade and gives it a slightly polished, toothy edge. The Hard Black Arkansas at 2000-3000 grit is a polishing stone to further refine the edge from the previous stone.
